Information Technology
IT is the IN thing.

Anything and everything IT. For technophobes and techies alike.
Covering everything from attaching photos to email, word processing, is my broadband good value? Will AI take over the world? Suffer from techno-phobia? This could be the cure.
Something for all levels of experience.
Learn new things or expand your knowledge.
Work in an informal, collaborative and supportive environment to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Practical workshops on subjects of interest.
Learn alongside others to master the skills needed to navigate the on line world safely and get the best out of technology.
Understand the latest developments in IT and how they will effect our lives.
Relaxed conversation covering current topics and what the future might hold. Will the Online Safety bill deliver what the government promises? Is Chinese technology a threat to our security?
Note: Meetings are not 'classes' and there is no formal curriculum.
As with all u3a interest groups these are member oriented sessions where we hope to learn from one another. If you have an IT problem while the group may be able to help solve it, any opinions expressed as to how to do so are offered without guarantee of success. We are after all a self help collective.
Meets where? The White Hare Cafe, Kirkby Stephen.
Meets when? Once a month on a Tuesday at 2 p.m. Next session is scheduled for March 11th.
Cost? Free to u3a members.
We aren't charged for the hire of the room but members are encouraged to donate to any of the charity tins that are in the cafe.
